Kia Cee'd takes a part of breaking European selling records followed by Kia Sportage, and others

Kia Cee'd record soon to be replaced 41 percent of total production at the plant in Slovakia overshadowed by a Kia Sportage that takes quota of total production by 40 percent.

PRODUCER Kia cars by 2011 and then managed to break the record production in Europe with more than 252,000 vehicles and 359,000 engines petrol and diesel that rains from the assembly line in Zilinia, Slovakia.

Compared to the year 2010 Kia Europe producing vehicles increased 10 percent while its engine production increased by 12 percent. South Korean car manufacturer is planning to increase production in Slovakia to reach 285,000 vehicles this year.

In addition a second engine plant opened in 2011 allowing Kia to produce as many as 450,000 units a year engines.

"Last year was very positive for Kia in Europe through the achievement of the vehicle and engine production figures," said President and CEO Kia Motors Slovakia, Eek-Hee Lee.

"Our focus in 2012 is to apply the regular three-shift operations so that we can reach full capacity in the first quarter of this year. Then prepare the production of the all-new Kia Cee'd will be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show next March," added Lee.

Kia itself employs more than 3,900 employees at the Zilina factory whose results are exported to Europe and Russia. Kia's biggest market in the region is Russia which absorbs 23 percent of total production, followed by Britain at 10 percent, Germany 9 percent, 8 percent and France Spanol by 5 percent.
