Toyota will return to win

Tokyo -As reported by Reuters on Friday (12/23/2011) Toyota Motor Corp. estimates would have record sales in 2012. There are at least 20 per cent rise in sales to 8.48 million units by 2012.

In 2011 that Toyota is expected to sell about 7.9 million units. That figure includes subsidiaries such as Daihatsu, and Hino.

Following the Japanese earthquake and flood Thailand, Toyota must be willing to give up the number one position to the GM and Volkswagen. Toyota had previously been the number one car manufacturer in the world in 2008.

Toyota could become number one again after recovering its production capacity in the country such as China, Brazil. These two countries are included that provide the highest figures.

"The reason Toyota is losing sales figures this year because they could not produce cars. Now they can. So it's possible they return to the top," said Satoru Takada, an analyst from Tiw

Even so, Toyota President Akio Toyoda said earlier, Toyota is not interested in the race to be the biggest carmaker in the world. While VW has vowed to become the top in 2018 with a sales target to 10 million units.

Toyota in 2011 is certainly losing crown as top automobile manufacturers. But next year, Toyota is expected to re-take his crown easily.
