"Sales in December showed Chinese consumers are not afraid to buy Japanese cars and driving as before," he said.

Japanese manufacturer Toyota should strive to restore their names in China. The result was pretty good, though it is still seen cynically by automotive enthusiasts in China.

In December, Toyota was able to sell up to 90 thousand units, though still far behind Dedsember versus 2011 is capable of reaching 108 thousand units. as quoted by Autonews, Monday (07/01/2013).

This figure is still far from the expected, with sales declining by 17 percent compared to the year 2011. However, sales figures had improved compared to three months ago.

"The sales figures back up faster than we had expected," said a Toyota executive, who declined to be identified, because the sale has not been announced.
