Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo 1928 show off


With this award, we can be sure Mercedes-Benz 680S 1928 Saoutchik Torpedo of Paul and Judy Andrews could cost many times as they would auction one day compared to when they first bought it.

EXHIBITION exclusive Peeble Beach which feature a variety of classic vehicles with a very unusual conditions, even like coming out of the factory. Of the vehicle, only one was selected as the best.

For this time, the title of 'Best in Show' successfully stolen by Mercedes-Benz 680S Torpedo Saoutchik 1928. Classic roadster equipped with 6.8-liter supercharged engine was designed by Jacques Saoutchik, a body of a perpetrator of France. Currently gorgeous vehicle was owned by Paul and Judy Andrews of Texas.

After the original owner of this vehicle died, Mercedes-Benz 680S Torpedo Saoutchik 1928 remains stored in a garage for 30 years. To create a condition as it is today, 680S requires total restoration process.

After the restoration process is completed, the vehicle is sold at auction sometime in the 80s, while the last owner bought the classic car about two years ago.

In the event Peeble Beach 2012 there are more than 220 vehicles on display, of which there are 11 models Saoutchik. But only this one that took home the prestigious award.
