recall of Hyundai Veloster for braking problems



WASHINGTON -  Hyundai Veloster affected by problems on the parking brake is Veloster produced on July 2, 2011 until February 27, 2012.
 
Hyundai dealers will replace the master and rear brake calipers. The recall will begin in January 2013.


Hyundai forced to do a recall  on a variant of Hyundai Veloster 2012 models.
 
A total of 4490 units 2012 Hyundai Velosters withdrawn from circulation after the parking brake bemasalah. There is the potential for faulty brakes, and make the car move while parked. Veloster affected by this recall is the manual transmission models.
 
As announced National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on the brake when parking problems can cause the car wandering, and may be dangerous to other vehicles.
 
"Moisture and dust cause the parking brake components become damaged and not operating properly. This could cause the vehicle to be unsafe when parking," said NHTSA as reported by Inside Line.
