Very Old cars come to biggest contributor of pollution
In a proposal to the city council on Monday, the mayor would ban the use of cars or very old cars older than 17 years and trucks or buses that are over 18 years old in September 2014.
Delanoe also banned very old cars or motorcycles made before 2004 and called it the biggest contributor to pollution and noise.
Vintage vehicle ban will take effect in the A86 highway that surrounds the capital city of France. Old Vespa and motorcycles also includes the taxable ban, as quoted inautonews.
The proposal is part of a comprehensive plan to reduce emissions by 30 percent by 2015. If it fails, the EU will be fined 100 million euros in France.
The nightmare will come to the vehicle owners the past (old school) in the French capital. Mayor of Paris plans to ban classic cars, motorcycles and old trucks' in the city in 2014.
Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe Socialist party said the move was very important to reduce pollution. The rival described him as "anti-social, anti-sub-urban and anti-motorist".
