As a result, the cooling produced R1234yf Honeywell and Dupont used as the standard in Europe.

But Daimler refused to use it and choosing older models namely R134a refrigerant. Daimler in independent testing found that cooling could be a trigger fires in a car accident a few scenarios.

However this has been denied by Honeywell International Inc. that manufactures cooling R1234yf.

"The tests were conducted Daimler is a static test and does not reflect a real accident," said Honeywell Government Relations Manager Tim Vink told Handelsblatt Germany as reported by Reuters.

France had previously been refused registration process Mercy cars that still uses R134a refrigerant such as A-Class, B-Class and SL.
