McLaren and Honda plans to test the latest Formula 1 car outside the official FIA test schedule. The car that will be tested later still referred to as experimental car with MP4-29H name.
The letter 'H' alleged abbreviation of Honda which is starting next season became an engine supplier for McLaren. Honda is making modifications for mounting on the body of the jet engine land belonging to McLaren.
Previously, rumors began that McLaren and Honda will debut MP4-29H testing after the official session in Abu Dhabi. But McLaren boss, Ron Dennis was denied because his team is tied with Mercedes as engine supplier this season.
"Maybe we'll start using it at the end of the season in Abu Dhabi. But we still respect the Mercedes, until there is no official date we will carry out testing of the new engine," said Ron Dennis as reported Worldcarfans, Tuesday (07/10/2014).
Officially, F1 teams are not allowed to test freely outside the official agenda testing issued by the FIA. The first official test will be conducted in the winter ahead of the 2015 season rolling in Jerez in February.
