Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) held by Ford will be always socialized

Ford is getting support from the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF) raise awareness about safe driving practices, and has organized sessions for the various participants - all of which are provided free of charge.

Traffic accidents continue to cause high mortality rate each year.

PROGRAM of Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) is a global program that was held in Ford's efforts to reduce the number of deaths in accidents and to improve the quality of traffic on the highway, driving through a professional training program is safe and fuel efficient.

This program uses the technique of online training, classroom teaching and practice in the field to enhance the learning process and bridge the experience gap of more than 500,000 riders of various ages.

DSFL is currently entering its fifth year of training new riders in the Ford market in Asia Pacific and Africa, which includes Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, China, India, Taiwan and South Africa.

DSFL program has been customized for each of these markets in order to reflect the driving environment and the local road conditions. DSFL in Southeast Asia for example, include tips when driving in flood, in China where the snow in the north resulted in slippery road conditions, while in the United States that targets teenage drivers at the high school level.

Participants DSFL in Asia is largely a novice rider because of economic improvement encourage the rapid rise in vehicle ownership. To date, 50,000 people have participated in programs throughout Asia and 12,000 more expected to join in 2012.

Since 2008, Ford's global DSFL program has trained a variety of participants, including the Ford customer, fleet companies, students, international organizations, representatives of the dealers, journalists, members of the police and armed forces, as well as employees of Ford, to help riders improve their skills and techniques.
