General Motors' explosion was caused by an extreme test of a prototype battery

 Latest news from General Motors stated that the explosion was caused by an extreme test of a prototype battery that has nothing to do with the Chevrolet Volt or other production vehicles.

DETROIT NEWS report, there has been an explosion in the battery research laboratory at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan USA. Battery that is said to have exploded injuring one or two people.

Warren firefighters who receive a phone call on Wednesday about 9 am, get two people were wounded, but General Motors spokesman said only one person was injured. Until the news was revealed there has been no definite news.

A team that handles hazardous materials emergencies due to be sent to the Tech Center and the building has been evacuated. Team hazmat (hazardous material) will investigate what caused the incident.
