Lexus GX 460 redesigns crossover model with monocoque / unibody

According to Ward's Auto, Lexus GX crossover will likely be replaced by monocoque / unibody configurated by seat of three rows after the current model of the production cycle ends later. That means, he no longer uses the ladder chassis models commonly found in SUV-SUV.

The current Lexus GX was first introduced in 2010 along with a redesign of the 4Runner models are the basis for the Lexus models. If GX is converted to a unibody platform, means the Toyota also did the same with the 4Runner, the GX except for using a base other models.

Other speculation, Toyota could use the GX base Highlander uses a platform that is currently digunakanjuga as the Lexus RX platform. Because the RX rersedia not in the model three rows of seats, this step allows the GX to maintain the third row without having to disrupt the recipe for success as Lexus's best-selling RX.

Despite what the decision on the GX and Toyota 4Runner, Ward's said the company also is investigating the use of four-cylinder engines are turbocharged in Lexus products.

Because Toyota already has one of the world's best machines on the 3.5-liter V6 engine products direct-injected mounted on some Lexus models, do not expect the city will see a new engine in the near future.

Lately, the number of SUVs with the construction of body-on-frame replaced by traditional shrink because  crossover model with monocoque / unibody would seem also embraced by the Lexus GX 460.
