Mazda CX-5 obtained a five star rating from Euro NCAP


Brussels,  - Mazda CX-5 received a five star rating from Euro NCAP with a value of 94 percent for adult occupant protection, 87 percent for children, 64 message to the safety of pedestrians, and 86 percent for keselamaan system as a whole.

Mazda CX-5 again won praise from the European Car Safety Agency (EuroNCAP). After performing a second test of this year, the SUV is also sold in Indonesia, passed the test by winning five star rating.


Euro NCAP now requires that each car is equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking in order to earn the title of a five star. Mazda CX-5 actually have got five stars in crash test earlier this year.

Michiel van Ratingen, Secretary General of Euro NCAP said the Mazda CX-5 is an example of a car with safety features that meet today's requirements. "If all cars equipped with AEB and other safety features such as CX-5, the number of accidents would drop dramatically. With this is expected, in 2020, deaths due to accidents can be reduced to 50 percent, "he explained. AEB is a feature that automatically activate the brakes when the car detects a danger ahead.
