Ford of Europe becomes the second largest brand in Europe


Milan,  - Ford of Europe, the second largest brand in Europe fell 8.3 percent to 72,330 units and General Motors (Opel / Vauxhall) also ambles 12.8 percent to 57,758 units. PSA represent the French brand also fell 4.5 per cent to 63,997 units, while more severe Renault fell 25.5 percent to 63,690 units.

European car market is still "grim" last October, although the decrease was not as severe as in previous months. Almost all the major brands experienced double-digit decline in sales to the prolonged impact of the economic crisis.Menurut data released by the European Automobile Industry Association (ACEA) in Brussels, new car sales in the tenth month fell 4.8 percent from the previous month to reach 1 million units. The decline last month, was recorded as the smallest so far this year.

Some car manufacturers such as PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Renault and Opel / Vauxhall still sinking and trying to reduce the cost of production to the end consumer spending recover. ACEA data shows, the market leader Volkswagen even recorded a decline in sales of 0.5 percent to 128,481 units.

During the first ten months of this year, total car sales in Europe fell 7.3 percent to 10.3 million units. The biggest in Greece, Portugal and Italy. Meanwhile, the UK being the best with a record sales growth of 12.1 percent to 151,252 units last month.
