Total Recall of Chrysler for Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee


Total Recall of Chrysler   Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee is expected to begin running in January 2013.

MUCH nearly 754 thousand units of the Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee are in the recall in the United States after an initial investigation by the Highway Traffic Safety United States (NHTSA) who found a problem with the airbag control module.

NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) revealed a disturbance in the air bag control module that causes airbags and safety belt pretensioners or active suddenly and wounding dozens of people.

According to documents from the NHTSA, they identified a total of 215 cases of seizing airbag that caused 81 people suffered minor injuries. Teersebut government agencies claim no reports of accidents related to the problem.

Parties Chrysler Group issued a statement that they will fix the problem by installing a jumper harness in addition to the airbag control module.

The vehicles affected by this problem is a particular Jeep Liberty model years 2002-2003 were made ​​starting January 9, 2001 to March 28, 2003, as well as the Jeep Grand Cherokee 2002-2004 models made ​​from January 13, 2001 until May 23, 2003.
