Toyota's reputation's related to recall


Los Angeles,  - Until now, Toyota is constantly working to improve their vindication in the eyes of consumers. Especially, in terms of its reputation on safety concerns as well as struggling with the economic crisis going on in Europe, the yen and the aftermath of natural disasters in Japan last year.


Toyota surrendered and agreed to pay a fine of 25.5 million U.S. dollars due to a campaign calling for repairs (recall) the millions units, a few days ago. Payment is not given to the owner of the car, but the shareholders are seeking damages caused by the company's stock value plummeted drastically.

It was decided by the U.S. federal court held a hearing to demand compensation of people who buy Toyota shares from 10 May 2005 - February 2, 2010, reported by Japan Today (11/15/2012). Attorneys for the plaintiffs actually claim damages up to 124 million U.S. dollars, but only be granted in part.

The decision was issued just hours adrift before Toyota announced back "recall" 2.77 million units, due to problems in the water pump and power steering, Wednesday (11/14/2012). Just last month, Toyota announced a recall of 7.43 million vehicles around the world, including the best-selling models in the U.S. Camry and Corolla due to problems with the power window switch. Toyota Indonesia is also doing the same recall a similar campaign by the number of 53 000 units of Camry, Altis and Vios production 2006-2008.

Earlier this year, Toyota also announced a "recall" of two new models which is a continuation of a previous campaign in 2009 due to gas pedal problems. Conditions were even associated with more than 12 people died in the U.S.. Toyota then do a total of 12 million units worldwide. Even members of Congress to ask Toyota apologized to consumers and pay a fine of more than 50 million U.S.
