Etherea concept model will be launched at 2015


London,  - Parties of Infiniti claims will rely on a new model developed Etherea concept model with a target launch of 2015. This compact car will be assembled at the factory Sunderland, England, and will compete with rivals Audi A3 or BMW 1-Series. Renault-Nissan is preparing a £ 250 million investment to increase production including assembling Infiniti of 60,000 units per year.

Infiniti has revised down its sales in Europe due to the debt crisis. President Johan de Nysschen European Infiniti admit, it's hard to be sold 100,000 units in 2016. "There is no definite line can be held to achieve the volume that much. We have to recalculate the target is more plausible," commented Nysschen told Auto News Europe (12/27/2012).

Previously, Carlos Ghosn, Renault-Nissan boss also expressed first target of 100,000 units in 2016 to rely on the market in Russia and Turkey. Being last year in the European market Infiniti peg number 12 500 units. The number of targets is part of the ambition to pursue Ghosn Infiniti global sales of 500,000 units in 2016 from 146,000 units last year only.
