Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) and the Drive-Start Control (DSC)

 Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) and the Drive-Start Control (DSC) has been introduced by Toyota.

 Today more and more car manufacturers who are committed to researching and developing security systems to prevent unintended acceleration, such as  Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) and the Drive-Start Control (DSC) . One is Nissan month announced a camera-based system designed to prevent the occurrence of errors pedal.

TOYOTA introducing two new safety technology called Intelligent Clearance Sonar (ICS) and the Drive-Start Control (DSC). This advanced technology serves to reduce the risk of collision when the driver parked the car.

Intelligent Clearance Sonar technology is intended to reduce collisions in the parking lot by detecting objects that are not seen by the driver. When a collision is detected kemngkinan, Intelligent Clearance Sonar will automatically activate the brakes, reducing engine power and sound the alarm.

While the technology functions Drive-Start Control according to Toyota, if the system was no fault of the gear selection positions 'Parking' when the driver presses the gas pedal, the warning light on the dashboard blinks and reduced engine power to limit the occurrence of a sudden start or sudden acceleration.

There are a number of scenarios in which the system will take over. For example, when the driver was hit bumps while back, then he panicked and shift the gear lever to the forward position without releasing the gas pedal, then the Drive-Start Control will soon take over.

Toyota says that the systems will be available on production vehicles in the near future.

Some time ago Agency Highway Traffic Safety United States (NHTSA) has called for such systems, it becomes a duty on new vehicles in the days to come.
