Mazda today announced it will increase SKYACTIV gasoline engine production (G) and diesel (D) plant in Hiroshima from 800,000 to 1,000,000 units by the end of 2014. This is done because the demand models SKYACTIV technology continues to increase worldwide.
"SKYACTIV Technology gained a reputation since it was first gasoline engine mounted on the Mazda Demioyang sale in Japan on June n2011. SKYACTIV car sales continue to increase worldwide. Additional production to support the worldwide supply," said Kiyotgaka Shouda, Managing Executive Officer for Mazda global product.
Target for 1.7 Million
Another goal of increasing production Mazda SKYACTIV engine is to boost global sales by the end of March 2016 with a target of 1.7 million cars. Later, 80 percent of the cars sold are already using the technology SKYACTIV Mazda.
Besides in Hiroshima, Mazda also has factories machines along with Changan-Ford-Mazda Co.., Ltd in China which began production in June, and was also made in Mexico by the end of March 2014.
