The series itself was built in honor of Jean-Pierre Wimille which is a French rider who gave Bugatti 2 victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1937 while driving a Bugatti 57g Tank with Robert Benoist and co-pilot in 1939 when he was assisted by Pierre Veyron at 57C Tank cars.
At launch, the car is juxtaposed with the original Tank Type 57g, the car that inspired the development of this car.
Her body is built from carbon fiber material with blue paint in honor of Type 57g and a typical color of French racing car of yore.
