Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) together with Fiat Group Automobiles SpA (Fiat) for the development and production roadster.

In a press release, the roadster for Mazda and Alfa Romeo cars will be based on the MX-5 rear wheel.

Fiat, was quoted by Reuters, had long been looking for automotive partners after taking over Chrysler. Fiat wanted a partner that is a manufacturer of Asia. It is necessary to achieve their global sales target of 6 million in 2014.
