Chevy Super Sport will make debut in Nascar Sprint Cup
Detroit - The most recent models of the new Camaro SS which was launched in 2010.
While the Chevrolet SS who was born in 2013 will also have the same architecture with the Camaro and Holden VF Commodore.
"As a racing fan, I am glad that Chevrolet will be releasing a NASCAR race car will also be marketed," said President Mark Reuss GM America.
"Chevrolet SS is a good example of how GM can leverage its global product portfolio to deliver a unique experience of racing performance. I personally can not wait to drive it," he added.
Chevrolet announced the U.S. manufacturer will again produce high-performance sedan called BY the Super Sport (SS). Sedan with rear-wheel drive and V-8 engine will be the new Chevy line up specifically for the U.S. market.
The GM press release, to prove the toughness of the SS, the SS will be a race car in NASCAR Sprint Cup Chevrolet and made his debut in the Daytona 500 in 2013.
While for the general public, the car will be produced this limited will be available in showrooms in late 2013. GM says if this is the first in 17 years Chevrolet back offers rear-wheel-drive sedan in the U.S..
SS platforms have long owned a Chevy for fast car models. SS was first used for the prototype 1957 Corvette in the past.
SS carried out the first production car in 1961 for the Impala. There are only 453 units produced by modifications to the chassis and suspension, brakes, rims and tires that are unique.
