Lexus RX will also follow Toyota Yaris to be produced in North America

ONTARIO - These three Japanese manufacturers are slowly starting to shift production abroad. The strengthening of the yen exchange rate against the U.S. dollar is affecting the automotive world and even penetrated into various other industries.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) still rely on its production capacity outside of Japan. This was done because of the strengthening of the yen exchange rate against the U.S. dollar.

After the Yaris will be produced in North America and Canada, Toyota also said production of the Lexus RX will also be improved. Thus was launched Inautonews, Tuesday (24/07/2012).

Ontario plant is the only plant that produces Toyota's Lexus outside of Japan. Plant capacity could reach 65,000 units per year.

This step was followed by the rival, Honda and Nissan which recently opened a new plant in Mexico. This is to avoid the strengthening of the Yen and to be able to serve the needs of its customers residing in North America.
