new model of Mazda6 will go on sale in US


LOS ANGELES - Previously, the Mazda6 will be produced in Flat Rock, at the assembly plant JV, in collaboration with Ford. Now the new model of the Mazda6 will be produced directly in Japan. While the plant in Flat Rock will focus on assembling the new model Ford Mustang and Fusion.


With a presence in the United States 2014 Mazda6, Mazda became the first Japanese manufacturer, which sells diesel cars in the U.S..

2014 Mazda6's going to go on sale in January 2013. This sedan comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, offering 184 horsepower power and 185 pound-feet of torque.

In addition to the 2.5-liter engine, the Mazda6 will also be equipped with a diesel engine variants with a capacity of 2.2-liter twin-turbocharged diesel. The machine is claimed capable of spraying an abundance of power and torque.

"Midsize sedan segment is extremely difficult to penetrate. Tight competition and kill each other. With diesel engines, will memberkkan points for Mazda, "said Jim Sullivan, CEO of Mazda North America.
