GM said it will contact the owners of the vehicles in question to get a replacement steering wheel airbag coil at no charge. But it was not explained when the recall will be initiated.
MANUFACTURER General Motors (GM) conduct a recall of the Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze and Sonic in the United States due to a problem on the driver's airbag system. The recall covers a total of 2949 vehicles.
According to the Road Traffic Safety United States (NHTSA), technical problems may cause the airbags did not inflate during a crash increasing the risk of injury to the driver.
