Soon new seven-passenger crossover will be planned

To replace the Routan, Volkswagen also plans a seven-passenger crossover to fill gaps in their lineup. As reported by Left Lane News.

Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is the best-selling car model in developing countries like Indonesia. But in Europe or America, this model is not very attractive. As a result, Volkswagen Routan is ready to perish.

Volkswagen said that their minivan, Routan, will be buried due to low demand.

Since it was first launched in 2008, the car was not able to attract much attention. Highest Sales of Routan came in 2009 where the car is sold 15 961 units.

Since then, car sales are not growing. Last year, car sales volume was only 10,483 units. In fact, twin Volkswagen Routan, the Chrysler Town & Country sold 111,744 unit rate.

As a result of this, Routan production was stopped in the month of June and will be starting in the summer of this year. However, new production later turned out not to be sold to general consumers as it will only accept bookings fleet alone.
