The number one in the Renault - Nissan , Carlos Ghosn , re- elected as Chairman of the European Automotive Industry Association ( ACEA ) . Ghosn replace Phillippe Varin who previously served as well as a former boss of PSA Peugeot - Citroen .
This decision will be effective in the near future , writes ACEA , Monday ( 05/12/2014 ) . This position to be the second time for Ghosn had served in the position after the initial period of January 2009 to January 2010 .
Varin chose to resign earlier this year , because of his position in the PSA as CEO was replaced by Carlos Tavares .
