The number one man in the Renault - Nissan's elected again

Frankfurt , -  The number one person in the Renault - Nissan's  elected again and he's still confident to make it better.

The number one in the Renault - Nissan , Carlos Ghosn , re- elected as Chairman of the European Automotive Industry Association ( ACEA ) . Ghosn replace Phillippe Varin who previously served as well as a former boss of PSA Peugeot - Citroen .

This decision will be effective in the near future , writes ACEA , Monday ( 05/12/2014 ) . This position to be the second time for Ghosn had served in the position after the initial period of January 2009 to January 2010 .

Varin chose to resign earlier this year , because of his position in the PSA as CEO was replaced by Carlos Tavares . " Under the leadership of Ghosn , ACEA will remain focused on key policies , and advice that can encourage innovation , increase growth through international trade , and ask for support regulators through a clear work plan , " Said Erik Jonnaert , ACEA Secretary General , in his official statement .

Substitution top leadership by Ghosn occur at critical times faced by the automotive industry in Europe . The principal is trying to improve the condition and restore profits in the region .

ACEA also helps members with demanding equal rights with the passing of the agreement between the EU and Japan .

Ghosn joined Renault as Executive Vice President from 1996 and served as CEO in April 2005 . In June 1999 , he was appointed the Head of Operations ( COO ) at Nissan and promoted to president in 2000 and become CEO in 2001 .

Currently , ACEA has 15 members of the European brands , including cars , trucks , and buses manufacturer .
