Detroit,  - Is that true or not that The rumor about  Head of Design of the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Ion will get fired? We can wait for statement of CEO of General motor.

General Motors (GM) to take decisive steps after the bitter experience that happened, associated mass improvement campaign (recall), millions of cars in the United States. GM Chief Executive Officer, Mary Barra, ordered the immediate investigation of this matter.

Last February, GM announced a recall of 2.6 million vehicles because of problems ignition switch. This case resulted in 47 accidents and claimed 13 lives. Last March, Barra, announced an investigation will be carried out step by appointing neutral Jenner & Block, under the direct leadership of Anton Valukas, as the president was consulting agency.



Now that the investigation is done, the internal source stated, if the largest automobile manufacturers from the United States recently fired 15 employees who are involved directly related to the problem. Of the dozens of people, including, a vice-president and two directors.

Third-level executives who were fired, were Michael Robinson, GM vice president of Environment, Sustainability and Regulatory Relations. Furthermore, the Director General of Security and Value Vehicle, Gay Kent, and Director of Product Investigations and Security Regulation, M Carmen Benavides.

GM did not want to specify who those in the list of persons considered responsible for this problem. But, Barra just mention one of them, Ray DeGiorgio, the engineer who designed the ignition switch and Gary Altman, Head of Design of the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Ion, which is included in the list of dismissal. Both models contributes most in a vehicle that must be repaired.
